The Strength of Namejs Heads to France with the Latvian Motocross Team
The Latvian Motocross Team Prepares for the Motocross of Nations at the Legendary Ernée Circuit
The Latvian Motocross Team is preparing for one of the biggest challenges of the season – facing the world’s strongest motocross nations at the prestigious Motocross of Nations.
From 2 to 4 October, one of the most important and highly anticipated motocross events of the year will take place at the legendary Ernée circuit in France. Organizers expect more than 100,000 spectators over the three days of competition.
This year, Latvia will be represented on the world stage by a strong trio: Pauls Jonass (MXOpen), Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis (MX2), and Kārlis Alberts Reišulis (MX1).
The Motocross of Nations is unique because individual performances combine into a team result. Riders compete not only for themselves, but also for their country, lining up against some of the world’s best motocross athletes from different continents and championships.
Before heading to France, Dāvis Ivanovs, Team Manager of the Latvian Motorsport Federation’s national team, visited Kurbads to draw inspiration and fighting spirit from the legendary story of Namejs. The image of Namejs symbolizes strength, courage, perseverance, and unity - qualities that are especially important in sport when representing Latvia on the world stage.
This time, the spirit of Namejs will also travel to France together with the Latvian team. The image created by artist Alfreds Paulausks appears both on the Kurbads car transporter T120 “Namejs” and on the Latvian motocross team’s tent, serving as a symbolic sign of strength and belonging for our athletes.
