Porsche on ice!

Already this weekend, Austrian town Zell am See will host a unique car race on ice. Automotive logistics company Kurbads had the honors to transport the 1990 Porsche 911 964 car to the competition.

This historical vehicle with 3,6 liter six cylinder engine will join many legendary historical and also modern race cars in the upcoming “The GP ICE RACE”.

Two days of motorsport in extreme conditions with an exceptional atmosphere. Almost forgotten, now they’re back: the legendary ice races in Zell am See returned in 2019 and now also in 2020. Amateur and professional racers, teams and manufacturers compete across a multitude of classes to be the best on the ice. A winter highlight for Porschephiles and fans of all motorized dreams, GP Ice Race is an intense experience of freedom, precision and speed.

Transportation of the car is a result of the close cooperation with “Jan Kalmar Beyond Adventure” that organizes various Porsche driving events worldwide. As this Porsche 964 after the ice race will head to the winter driving experience 150 km north of the Arctic Circle to learn the winter driving skills from the legendary rally driver Markus Gronholm. After that the car will enjoy the most picturesque roads all around the globe.
