Job Shadow Day 2025 at the Kurbads Logistics Base
On April 4, the Kurbads logistics base hosted Job Shadow Day, welcoming 12 students from schools in Riga and the surrounding areas. This was a valuable opportunity for young people to gain first-hand insight into the car transportation and logistics industry and explore its real-world working environment.
Throughout the day, students were accompanied by professionals from Kurbads, Kurbads Auto Service, and Kurbads Detailing, who shared their knowledge, experience, and day-to-day workflows. The students actively participated in various workstations, gaining practical skills and a deeper understanding of the roles that ensure the delivery of high-quality logistics services. As a responsible employer, we believe that investing in future professionals starts today through openness, knowledge sharing, and creating opportunities for youth. Shadow Day is one initiative where, through hands-on experience, we strengthen the connection between education and the workforce of tomorrow.

Job Shadow Day is an internationally recognized Junior Achievement career education program for grades 1–12 students. It offers the chance to observe a professional in their chosen field for 4–6 hours. It is a meaningful platform for students to explore their strengths, evaluate career paths, and draw inspiration for their future professional development.
This year, we welcomed a record number of students to our Future Careers Experience, reflecting the growing interest in logistics and technical professions. We are pleased with our long-standing collaboration with Junior Achievement Latvia, which inspires young people to explore their career potential. Given the specific nature of the work environment, safety requirements, and limited space, participants were accepted in the order of registration. Our goal is to provide each student with a high-quality and meaningful experience.
