Born in race track – Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Automotive logistics company “Kurbads” is honored to transport a true gem of the car manufacturing world – the Porsche “911 GT3 RS”. Porsche has an extensive range of 911 series models, but this is nearly identical to the cars that we see in our TV screens, when watching car racing.

The guidelines of Porsche marketing is quality and elegance that can be widely seen in well known “Porsche Supercup GT3” race series that are held together with Formula 1. In these series, race drivers Porsche cars with the same specification as this road version, the only difference being the full roll cage. So, what is Porsche “911 GT3 RS”?

Letters RS mean “Renn Sport” or “Race sport”, in other words, it’s a street legal vehicle with specifications of a race car – huge rear spoiler, massive wheels and brakes, magnesium roof for lower weight and, of course, a bolted-on roll cage behind the front seats and a six-point safety harness.

Equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, 4,0l six-cylinder engine with 500 HP, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3,4 seconds. Porsche’s time-honoured approach to making these cars has been not only to add power but also to reduce weight.

The suspension has been updated and retuned, with more rigid ball-jointed mountings and helper springs fitted at the rear, while Porsche’s optional carbon-ceramic brakes get a new outer friction layer.

When so many cars have a great engine, or a great chassis, or great steering, but rarely all of them at once. One of those exceptions is Porsche “911 GT3 RS”.
