Dāvis Ivanovs receives 2nd place in SuperCup in Kandava
This Sunday, the second race of motocross series ‘SuperCup’ took place in Kandava, and Dāvis Ivanovs, who is supported by transport company ‘Kurbads’ received 2nd place in the prestigious ‘MX Pro’ class.
In the first ride, Dāvis stayed behind two Estonian riders and took the 3rd place. In the second Dāvis was unstoppable and Latvian supporters cheered for the local sportsman’s win. In the final race, victory was celebrated by Tanel Leok, who has also won several World Cup stages in his career.
The race track ‘Kandava Motopark’ is known as one of the most technically challenging tracks in the Baltics with its variety of tricky elements. Before the race, it was partially rebuilt in guidance of Spanish track designer Gabi Villada and the sportsmen had to learn it again.
In the overall results of ‘SuperCup’, Dāvis Ivanovs takes the 2nd place, staying seven points behind Leok. The next stage of the SuperCup will take place on 14th of August in Madona.
