Kurbads New year’s ball 2014
In cheerful atmosphere and gorgeous costumes in style of American 30’s vehicle transporting and logistics company “Kurbads” celebrated it’s traditional New year’s ball, where the best drivers and employees in different categories were awarded.
New year’s ball is one of the rare occasions, when all staff of “Kurbads” can get together to share interesting stories and have a wonderful time.
American 30’s fashion style gave a chance to see elegantly dressed gangsters with guns, honorable gentlemen with patent leather shoes, braces and exclusive hats, ladies in charming cocktail dresses with accessories and hairstyle of that time. Feeling like time has gone back for 80 years.
Host of the evening was famous Latvian actor Ģirts Ķesteris.
New year’s ball of the evening was homage of best employees – every category had 3 nominees, about whom in video their colleagues told what characterizes them.

Nominees for title best “Kurbads” new driver:
Award goes to Jānis Rubenis.
“Crazy Horse’s” driver Renārs Jakobsons, “Che Guevara’s” Gatis Mauriņš and Pēteris Ozoliņš had special award for 10 years in company.
Andris Druviņš was named as a best driver-mechanic .
Awards for largest distance without need of changing tires went to Renārs Jakobsons and Andris Druviņš.
Every company’s New year’s ball is hard to imagine without fete of drivers, who have driven more than one million kilometers without capital repairs for car carrier. This year unique awards went to car carrier’s EP-9900 driver Normunds Strazdiņš, AU-9900 pilot Guntars Beitāns and to FN-9900 chauffeur Dainis Kukulis.
Award cups were made by famous Latvian metal artist Arvīds Endziņš.
Cabaret dancers from “Fandango” had a spectacular show. Guests could not resist and were dancing joyfully to the music of DJ Andee and rock’n’roll group “Keksi”.
There was also big line to the photo corner, where employees had a chance to take pictures in the style of 30’s.
